The Haynes Apperson Parade is a central feature of the annual Haynes Apperson Festival, celebrating Kokomo’s rich automotive heritage and the pioneering contributions of Elwood Haynes and the Apperson brothers. The parade showcases floats, local organizations, and community groups, and serves as a highlight for festival-goers of all ages.
Although the calendar still says June, Kokomo’s spirit of American patriotism is already in full stride as the community celebrates an early Fourth of July Parade during the Haynes Apperson Festival.
Leading the way with pride and purpose, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 28, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA) Unit 28, and fellow Veteran Service Organizations will march together in a unified formation. Their presence honors the courage, sacrifice, and continued service of the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform.
