Resources and FAQs

Find quick answers and helpful links for getting the support you need.

What should I bring to a claims appointment?

Please bring your DD-214, any relevant medical records, and your current VA rating decision if you have one. Having these documents ready helps our Service Officers process your claim more efficiently.

Do I have to be a DAV member to get help?

No, you do not need to be a member of the DAV to receive assistance with your claims or benefits. Our mission is to serve all veterans and their families, regardless of membership status.

Is there a cost for DAV Chapter 28 services?

All advocate services provided by  Chapter 28 are completely free of charge. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting those who served.
